Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of LiveSub Web (“the Service”) provided by LiveSub (“we”). By using the Service you agree to them.
1. What the Service does
The Service turns the audio of a browser tab you share into text on your own device, then translates and displays it. Recognition and translation are performed automatically by software.
You need a supported browser (Chrome or Edge on a desktop computer) and a device with sufficient processing power.
2. Accuracy of the subtitles
The results contain mistakes. Accents, background noise, several people speaking at once, proper nouns and technical terms can all produce text that does not match what was said.
The output is not a substitute for a human translator or interpreter. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial, safety, journalistic or any other purpose where accuracy matters.
We are not responsible for decisions or actions you take based on the output.
3. Your responsibilities
You must have the right to capture the audio you use with the Service. When the audio contains someone else's work, a meeting, or a conversation, follow the applicable laws and agreements, including obtaining consent where it is required.
If you publish or distribute the output, including a saved transcript, it is your responsibility to make sure doing so does not infringe anyone's rights.
4. What you must not do
Do not use the Service to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to interfere with its operation.
Do not send excessive automated requests, redistribute copies or modified versions of the Service, or share or resell a paid licence key.
5. Fees
The core features are free to use. If we offer paid features, their content and price will be shown in the Service beforehand.
Signing up for, cancelling, and refunds for paid features are governed by the conditions shown when you sign up.
6. Changes, interruption and closure
We may change the Service, or suspend or discontinue it. We will give notice where we can, but not necessarily in an emergency.
The Service depends on your device, your browser and features provided by outside companies. Changes to any of these may make part or all of the Service unavailable.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it fits any particular purpose, that it will run without interruption, or that its output is free of error.
Except in cases of our intent or gross negligence, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the preceding month. If you use the Service free of charge, we accept no liability for damages.
8. Who operates this service
The Service is operated by an individual. The operator's name and address will be disclosed without delay if you request them through the contact form.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of Japan. Any dispute about the Service shall be submitted to the court having jurisdiction over our location as the exclusive court of first instance.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. A change takes effect when it is posted on this page.
